Samsung SIII and Samsung Note II get price cut in India

The Korean Manufacturer Samsung has slashed the prices of its flagship models Samsung SIII and Samsung Note II. The price cuts come apparently due to the competition faced by Samsung due to brands like Apple. Reports tell that due to aggressive techniques of Apple in India in the recent times, the company has reported a 400% increase in sales in the last three months.

The Samsung SIII was launched at a price of Rs. 43,180, but now has been officially priced at Rs. 29,480. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Note II has also been slashed from a launch price of Rs. 39,999 to a price of Rs. 35,600. However, online stores have already been selling these phones t even lower prices. The price of Samsung SIII on Tradus is Rs. 28,790. The Samsung Galaxy Note II is being sold on Snapdeal at a price of Rs. 33,900 (after applying a coupon ‘mob1000’).
Even though Samsung has reduced the prices on these two flagship models, the enthusiasts will be waiting for its latest release Samsung Galaxy SIV which houses some great features like wireless charging.

Facebooking For a Cause: Is It Enough?

This might come across as another post for something which has already received a lot of attention from the social media, the public and the parliament. But no matter how much attention it receives or how much the matter is talked about. The pain of the victim will never reduce. It will never reduce even a bit. Even if she recovers physically, I am damn sure that she would not have a moment of piece and happiness for the rest of her life. The act done by those six shameless people would torment her for the rest of her life.

But what are we doing on our part? Just creating Facebook stories, browsing the web and flipping through news channels? Do you think this is enough?
Well, this does creates pressure on the Government to act fast, and act strongly, we, the public would have to send out a strong message not to the Government but to all the evil minds in our society that such an act would never be tolerated and we, the people of this country, would make sure that all such criminals undergo the punishment they deserve!!

Protest marches take place at many places on such occasions, people go out with thousands of candles to protest for a cause, but does this this really has ANY effect on the criminals? I don't know. I am calling for a response on this. And if this does not have the desired effect, what can actually be done on our part to contribute against such causes? I leave the answer of this question to you.

I also request all the concerned welfare organizations to step up the efforts to take in more and more members and regularly organizing campaigns against such crimes. Please spread this request as much as you can in your own way.

A letter to the rapist!!

This is not original, we have copied it from somewhere, but it aptly describes what all of us want to say!!

A letter to Rapist!

Dear Rapist, A big warm Thank you for your contribution to my city. Girls are afraid now. Again. They always were. I hope your Mother and Sisters are not aware of your generous work. I hope. As they may attempt suicide or may go through mental stress for having any kind of relation with you. I pity them.

So you raped another girl. Ha! Kudos. Proud of yourself? No no, you should be. You should be proud of yourself for destroying a girl's life COMPLETELY. Now she can never move around in the society freely. No one will marry her if it matters. No why will it matter to you. Sorry for bothering you but can I ask why did you choose this profession? Like is it your family business or you started it and then invited members to join you? Also why do you have this urge to have sex with every other girl in town? Masturbate na. Please. Why are you destroying people's life. Or there is a better solution, Marry. That way you won't even have to do any such criminal act and your wife will also be happy. Although who will marry a depraved pervert like you.

I sympathise with the victim. Because Her only fault was breathing. Right? She was breathing so you got this sudden urge of raping her. Don't give me those lame excuses that she was wearing a short skirt or a backless top or was exposing too much. Both of us know what the truth is. So now what next. Do you think you will survive or are you afraid of punishment? No you aren't afraid of any sort of punishment because if you were, you wouldn't have raped the girl in the first place. So the former one is the case. You think our rules and our government will help you in surviving. Indeed they do. But when you do such things nowadays na, what happens is social media pressurizes the government to take action. Asap. And yes each one of us is praying, more like begging from god that people like you should be gifted with death for your generous and kind contribution to society. Did you even think of the girl's father for once? If not please do think. Think of that father who didn't even allow his daughter to put a foot on this earth when she went to a mela with him and instead carried her on his shoulders. Think of that father who went everywhere with his daughter for admissions to schools ,institutes and colleges so that she doesn't have to face any sort of problems that he probably faced. Think of that father who loved his daughter more than his life. But why will you. You destroyed everyone's life dear, everyone's fucking life. Just because of your lovely thoughts and perverted mind. Beta tera to kuch nahi bigda but she has to live with the memory of what happened to her. You abused her physically as well as mentally. I ponder sometimes, has shame disappeared from the society, is this the same Indian culture culture that hails women as goddesses in temples. People like you force me to think so.

So yeah, now you are probably thinking that nothing will happen and no one can find you? Like the Guwahati molestation case? Trust me I am worried about that too. But believe you me and the millions of other guys and girls who support me, we WILL FUCKING ENSURE THAT you get the right punishment, which is castration and then life time imprisonment until death. We don't want you to be hanged. Hanging till death would be too easy for you. We want to engender this fear that if anyone does any such thing in future, he is choosing hell for himself. A living fucking hell. We do Not want this case to be treated like any other rape case. We want the government to take action. Asap. Have some shame fucker. And yes be AFRAID of us bitch.

I remember this quote of Naseeruddin Shah from the movie Wednesday. I want to twist it a bit: Ye guwahati, dilli , bus me, train me, ye sab rape ke case nahi hai, ye ek sawal hai aur wo sawal ye hai ki bhai hum to yunhi rape karte rahenge tum kya kar loge. Yes they asked this question. And we have to reply. WE HAVE TO REPLY STRONGLY.

A Limit of 100 SMS per day? Are you okay with it?

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) has now set a limit of 100 SMS per day on concessional SMS'es. Claiming that this decision comes after lengthy discussions and will reduce the pesky messages that users receive from unregistered marketers.
After the limit of 100 messages exhausts, operators will be required to charge at least 50 paise per SMS from the user. It would be mandatory for the operators to implement the orders within 15 days.

Another step that, according to TRAI would help reduce the pesky messages requires operators to develop a software that would not allow a user to send more than 200 messages in an hour from a computer or any other system.

Lodging complaints for the violating unregistered marketers has been made easy. You can now forward the concerned message to 1909 after appending the telephone number of the advertiser and date of receipt.

TRAI has been regularly trying to put in force measures that would save the normal mobile user from these unwanted messages. With this order, TRAI said that an average mobile user sends 2 SMS'es per day and 47 per month.

I don't know on which study these numbers are based, but these are quite unrealistic. A person who has subscribed to concessional SMS packs would obviously send more messages than these.

Nevertheless, a limit of 100 messages per day, according to me, is not too low. What do you think? Will the limit affect your SMS use?

Apple loses legal battle to iFone in Mexico court

Apple has been really active in litigation in past few times. But this has backfired too at times.
News have poured in that Apple has lost a legal battle in a court of Mexico from IT solutions provider iFone over the use of the phonetically similar brand name.

It is reported that Apple filed a lawsuit against iFone in 2009. But after investigations, it was found that iFone registered it's brand name in 2004 and Apple registered iPhone in 2007, 4 years later than iFone.
This fact worked in favor of iFone and led to Apple losing the lawsuit and eventually iFone filed a counter case claiming the damages.
At the moment it is not clear if Apple would have to pay a fees to iFone for using the brand name or would it be completely banned from using the iPhone brand in Mexico.

Apple's latest offering is said to be launched in Mexico through telecom operators Telcel and Movistar on Friday.
